The days are so busy and even weekends, it seems, I do not accomplish all I set out to do anymore. Am I just getting old (Heaven forfend!!) or is it more that I just need to re-prioritize my life? Hmmmmmm...........

When I enter my studio time just goes away. I can happily create for hours without thought of food or chores or outside obligations. I need to find WAY more time for that. I need to figure out when I lost sight of what is truly important in life and just say no to whatever is not. I need to remember that all my gifts and blessings are from The One who knows exactly what is most important. I need to be less of a Mary and more of a Martha.

I am finally back......what a month!! 50th wedding anniversary party for my in-laws.......they have two boys, one unmarried - can you guess who did all the foo-foo work and delicacies, hmmmm???? BUT, my mother-in-law cried - happy tears - so all is well!! Then, having worked myself into quite a tizzy over it all, I, yes moi, who just NEVER gets sick (I simply refuse) got this horrid cold and I was DOWN - my kids even worried (they don't, usually, because Mom, of course, is, well, MOM).



So, I am just getting my old self back again and I have been missing my studio, a lot, actually. I have some crazy ideas flying (yup, really flying, wait till ya see) around in the old noggin, so hopefully I will post some nice pix in the next week!


Meanwhile........do ya think I can run away to the beach????? Shhhhh.....don't tell anyone where I went!! LOL

Been Busy

Been busy in my studio, working on this and that - the little witches are available right now on Ebay under a*wilde*hare, my art site. Going out of town for a couple of days but I will be back and busy again soon!! I am working on some fabulous shadow boxes - with more of my babies!!

Well, look at what the girls have gotten into now!! There I was, sitting around, pondering this and that, when I heard shuffling and little voices - I caught these two getting into some mischief after digging around in Mama's old trunk of magic!

"I wonder if I'm doing this right.", squeaks tiny Isabella

"Here", says Esmerelda, "let me show you how it's.....oops.....I think I turned the audience into BATS!!"

"Oh, no", cries Isabella, "we'll be grounded for sure now!"

"Maybe not", whispers Esmerelda, "it IS Halloween and just a trick. They will change back in the morning!"

"Good", sighs Isabella, "now, how about the brooms, can we go try the brooms? Can we?? I wanna FLY!!"

Heaven has a new kitty

Oh, my sweet Halloween kitty has gone to frolic amongst the angels - I am so sad - she was such a sweet cat and she was my port in a storm, my friend and companion and I could tell her ANYTHING!! She came one day and graced us with her presence for eight beautiful years - she was always a lady, regal and never rude. I am at a loss for words - I will miss her for a very long time. Goodbye, Momcat, my pretty, quiet girl - you were a true gift from God.

a cowgirl's work is never done.........off I go to finish the chores and then to sleep, but only for a bit......so much going in this mind I am sure I will be bouncing up (so Tigger-like) and starting my Halloween Ball.......till tomorrow, all.......and peace!

Studio Portrait

I so <3 my studio......I will live in here.....just bring a coffee IV.......

Went out to water and who did I find - Miss Momcat....oh, the life, just look at that pose....my pretty Halloween colored kitty...... the plants are happier now - hard to be too happy when it is 100 plus in the shade but we do what we can!! Guess that is why Momcat looks as she does??? What else to do??? I have spent the summer cleaning and sorting and basically doing all that spring cleaning I can never do in spring when we are so busy at our wholesale plant nursery so now I can get back to what I really love - next to God and family - creating beautiful things from vintage bits and bobs, flotsam and jetsam and general junk. Nearly anything old, antique, dusty, torn, flaky (any resemblance to any person purely coincidental), chippy, peeling, vintage, scrolly, bent, or torn just makes my heart go all a-flutter and brings out my muse, Minx Grimassi Wilde! So back at it - till tomorrow, chickies, have a most lovely evening!!
